Huawei

  1. Backup all of your data to your laptop or cloud before performing any resets.
  2. Before resetting, remove your SIM card and any memory card. If possible, make sure the phone is charged to 100% so that the phone will be powered to complete the reset process.
  3. Follow the instructions below for your model of phone. If your model is not listed please visit the Huawei website for further information.

Ascend G300, Y200

 Phone off – hard reset

  • Remove and replace the phone’s battery.

  • Hold the following buttons simultaneously: Volume Up and Power.

  • When the Huawei logo appears, continue holding the Volume Up button, but release the power button.

  • The blue unlock/reset menu will appear. Scroll down using the volume buttons, and selectWipe data/factory resetusing the power button.

  • Scroll down and selectYes – delete all user data. Wait.

  • Select Reboot system now.

From the menu

Applications menu > Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything.

Ascend G510 U8951, U9508, D1, Ideos X3

Phone off – hard reset

  • Remove and replace the phone’s battery

  • Hold the following buttons simultaneously: Volume Up and Power.

  • Hold down for approximately 5 seconds until recovery screen appears. 

  • Scroll down using the volume buttons, and select Wipe data/factory reset using the Power button.

  • Scroll down to Yes – delete all user data and select. Wait.

  • Using the power button, select Reboot system now.

Ascend G510

From the menu

Home screen > All tab > PERSONAL area > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Reset phone.

Ascend D1

From the menuHome screen > Menu > Backup and reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone > (enter password if required) > Erase everything.

  • UM840: Volume Up + Send + Power
  • U8100: Dial + Volume up
  • U8220: Menu + End + Volume + Power
  • U8300: Volume Up + Dial + Power

  • U8800: Volume Up + Dial + Power
  • U8860: Volume Up + Power
  • U9200: Volume Up + Volume Down + Power
  • Y201: Volume Up + Home + Power
